User Accounts
Registering for a User Account
Click on the ‘Login’ tab in the top menu
Use the link called ‘Register’ to create a new account – accounts are manually approved within 24-48 hours and are not automatic. Accounts are also not approved on a weekend or public holiday.
Please ensure all fields are completed
- you MUST provide a work email [some exceptions for approved clients]
- if you are part of a larger group or organisation – you MUST provide the name of the organisation and the name of the facility where you work [they are not the same].
- if you do not provide all information including a work email. You will be emailed to request the omitted information and provided 2-weeks to respond. The account remains pending for the 2-weeks and if not received, is deleted.
Forgot your login details
STEAM Consulting does not have access to your password & is not responsible for changing your password. There is a convenient link on the login page for you to do this yourself.
If you have submitted details to change your password and do not receive a the email link
- check your spam folder. Alternatively, the email has been blocked by your workplace firewall and you need to follow this up within your workplace.
- chances are you don’t have an account [see next tab for further details]
Review of User Accounts
All user accounts are reviewed bi-monthly to check for currency.
If you have not accessed your account in the last 6-months it will be deactivated
- A deactivated account has not been deleted (YET)
- An automatically generated email is sent to you advising of the deactivation.
- You are provided 4-weeks to reply to this email.
- If you do not respond – Your account is deleted.
- If your account is deleted – You need to register for a new one.
If you respond to the email within the 4-weeks
- your account will be reactivated.
- an email is sent to you advising of the reactivation.
If your account is picked up as having no access on the next cycle of the review [for 8-months or more]. The account is deleted.
BOT Message
It is recommended to login to the client content ‘cleanly’ without using links saved to your favourite [this is due to regularity of updates to pages in the website as we strive to maintain currency].
If a page does not load or you receive a forbidden message.
- Check your firewall and/or computer security settings
- Check with your IT department to ensure a block is not preventing your access.
- The shortcut you are using to access content is no longer valid.
- You do not have authority to access the page
- AFTER troubleshooting these actions – Contact steamadmin for assistance.
403/404 Forbidden message
403 Message
You do not have access to this page.
Either you do not have a user valid account, or authorisation to a restricted content page.
404 Message
This message may appear if the page does not exist any longer or something has broken.
If accessing a page saved to your favourites this may occur when updates have occurred and the file path has changed.
The 404 page may also appear if your have tried to access content not included for your approved user status.
